Carbon lamination · Existing parts · Calgary

Your part.
Finished in real carbon.

We laminate removable interior and exterior parts with forged or woven twill carbon, then build a finished epoxy surface around their existing shape. Start with photos so we can review the part, finish and scope.

How the service works

Every finish begins with the condition and geometry of your part.

Before quoting production, MMD Studio reviews clear photos, approximate dimensions, the vehicle or application and the finish you want. Complex geometry, damage and disassembly requirements can change the scope.

  1. 01Sign in to the Project Portal

Open the Project Portal in a new tab ↗ and sign in with the code sent to your email. Choose or create a Carbon Lamination request.

  2. 02Describe the project and upload photos

Tell us what you want, including the vehicle, part and preferred carbon finish. Upload clear photos of the front, back, edges, mounting points and any damage so we can prepare a quote.

  3. 03Approve the quote and send the parts

We agree on the scope, price and timing. You pay the deposit shown in the quote—typically around 25%—then mail or deliver the parts to MMD Studio using the agreed instructions.

  4. 04Inspect and prepare

After the parts arrive, we inspect their condition and prepare the original surface. Existing coatings, repairs and edge access determine the work required.

  5. 05Laminate and finish

Carbon is positioned around the part, then the epoxy surface is built, cured, levelled and completed with the agreed protective finish and polish.

  6. 06Final review and return

We inspect the finish and edges, share the next update through the portal and coordinate the agreed pickup or return shipping.

Choose the right approach

Lamination or a new composite part?

Lamination adds real carbon fiber over an existing part. It is a surface treatment, not a promise of weight savings or a replacement for structural engineering.

For a new component, moulding or vacuum infusion may be the better route. Explore our composite services ↗

Good starting projects

Parts that can be removed, inspected and prepared.

  • Interior trim and console components
  • Mirror caps and selected exterior trim
  • Small covers, panels and one-off components
  • Parts with enough access for clean edge finishing

What affects the quote

Geometry matters more than surface area alone.

  • Part size, depth and number of edges
  • Existing damage or previous coatings
  • Woven or forged carbon appearance
  • Required disassembly, masking and final finish
